- As of August 10, 2021, 23.9 million hectares of cereals have been harvested in Russia, 73.16 million tons of grain have been harvested at an average yield of 3.06 tons/hectare. Wheat was harvested on 16.51 million hectares, 55.1 million tons of wheat were harvested at an average yield of 3.34 tons/hectare. Barley was harvested on 4.76 million hectares, 12.7 million tons of barley were harvested at an average yield of 2.67 tons/hectare. Compared to the previous data, the average wheat yield has decreased by 0.1 tons/hectare.
- In the first half of 2021, exports of sunseed oil from Ukraine reached 2.56 million tons (3.76 million tons a year earlier).
- According to Conab's latest forecast, the corn production in Brazil will be 86.65 million tons in 202/21 (93.38 million tons in the previous estimate and 102.5 million tons a year earlier). The second corn production is projected at 60.32 million tons (66.97 and 75.05). The soybean production is expected to reach 135.97 million tons (135.91 and 124.84).
- According to ABS data, 2.82 million tons of wheat were exported from Australia in June (2.58 million tons in May), which is the highest level this year. The largest buyers were Indonesia with 797,300 tons, Vietnam with 318,700 tons, the Philippines with 309,500 tons and China 229,900 tons. In the first half of 2021, wheat exports totaled 15.12 million tons.
- Morocco has announced a tender for the purchase of 363,000 tons of durum from the United States and delivery by the end of the year.
- At the end of July, palm oil stocks in Malaysia decreased by 7.3% compared to the end of June to 1.5 million tons. Palm oil production also decreased by 5.17% to 1.52 million tons and palm oil exports dropped by 0.75% to 1.41 million tons.
