- The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia has stopped broadcasting daily results for the course of the harvesting campaign - harvested areas, quantities and yields.
- As of 16.08.2021, 98.5% of the wheat areas have been harvested in Romania. 11.3 million tons of wheat were harvested (6.3 million tons in 2020) at an average yield of 5.35 tons/hectare (2.99). With domestic consumption of 2.5 - 3 million tons, wheat exports can reach up to 7 million tons.
- According to Anec's forecast, soybean exports from Brazil will reach 6.25 - 6.5 million tons in August (7.97 in July and 5.57 in August 2020). Over the period of January - August, soybean exports are projected to reach a total of 74.97 million tons. Exports of soymeal in August will be 1.6 million tons (1.75 and 1.61) and since the beginning of the year soymeal exports totaled 11.62 million tons.
- In 2021/22, corn areas in Argentina will increase by 7.5% compared to 2020/21 to a record 7.1 million hectares, which is 15% more than the average level for the last five years. Most likely, sowing will start later than normal due to the drought in the country. As of 11.08.2021, the corn production has been harvested on 94.7% of the areas and 45.52 million tons of corn were harvested. The forecast for the corn production remained unchanged at 48 million tons.
- Bangladesh has not received any offer to buy wheat. 50,000 tons of milling wheat of any origin were sought.
- At the tender in Egypt, the state-owned company GASC received two offers to buy sunseed oil at prices of 1.336 - 1.345 USD/ton C&F. There were also 6 offers for sale of soyoil from Egyptian traders at prices 1,369 - 1,381 USD/ton. 10,000 tons of sunseed oil were purchased at 1,333 USD/ton C&F with delivery within October 05-25. Domestic tenders were canceled due to high prices.
