- Over the week of July 6-12, the export tax on wheat from Russia will be 4,600 rubles/ton. The export tax on barley will be 3,307 rubles/ton and the export tax on corn will be 2,168.8 rubles/ton. The purchase and sale of rubles and dollars will be carried out according to the exchange rate of the Bank of Russia.
- In June, 617,600 tons of grain were exported from the Russian port of Novorossiysk, which is 17% less than in May. 442,400 tons of wheat, 108,000 tons of barley and 59,600 tons of corn were exported.
- In 2021/22, 61.52 million tons of grain and oil were exported from Ukraine, including 18.7 million tons of wheat, 23.54 million tons of corn, 5.74 million tons of barley, 1.1 million tons of soybeans, 2.7 million tons of corn and 1.09 million tons of sunseed.
- According to the data of APC - Inform, the price of Ukrainian barley with July-August delivery in the Danube ports of Reni and Izmail has decreased to 165-190 USD/ton CPT. Ukrainian corn with delivery within July-August at the border with Poland is priced at 205-220 USD/ton DAP, and Ukrainian corn at the border with Hungary is prices at 210-225 USD/ton DAP. These are all considered as very low prices.
- The authorities in Ukraine have canceled the licensing regime for the export of wheat.
- According to data from FranceAgriMer, as of 27.06.2022, 5% of the wheat areas in France have been harvested (+3% for the week). 64% of the wheat crops (79% a year earlier) and 83% of the corn crops (84% and 89%) are in good and excellent condition. Barley has been harvested on 41% of the areas (+15%).
- The European Commission predicts a rapeseed production in the EU in 2022/23 of 18.1 million tons (17.9 in the previous estimate). Sunseed imports are projected reach 2 million tons (1.5).
- Safras&Mercado lowered their forecast for the 2021/22 corn production in Brazil to 117.24 million tons (118.13 in the previous estimate and 91.47 in 2020/21). The first corn production is expected at 21.86 million tons (21.64 the previous season) and the second corn production at 82.15 million tons (83.25 and 57.85).
- Egypt's government wheat stocks are now sufficient to meet domestic consumption for the next 6.5 months.
- Egypt's state company GASC accepts offers to buy wheat without organizing an tender. Deliveries will be made within September - October.
- Turkey impounded a ship with 7,000 tons of grain loaded from the Russian-controlled Ukrainian port of Berdyansk. The government of Ukraine has alerted the Turkish authorities about the shipment.
