- Over the week of 27.07 – 02.08.2022, the export tax on Russian wheat will be 4,951.7 rubles/ton (5,984.9 a week earlier). The export tax on barley will be 3,002.6 rubles/ton (4,413.7) and the export tax on corn will be 2,923.4 rubles/ton (3,144.9).
- Representatives of Ukraine have signed the agreement governing the export of grain from the country with representatives of the UN and Turkey. Representatives of Russia have signed the same agreement with representatives of the UN and Turkey. Safe conditions are being created for the export of grain, fertilizers and ammonia from Ukraine. The parties have pledged not to attack merchant ships and facilities in ports. Warships, aircraft, drones and other military equipment will not approach within the export corridors. The agreement will be valid for 120 days with the possibility of extension.
- According to data from FranceAgriMer, as of 18.07.2022, 84% of the soft wheat areas have been harvested in France (+34% for the week). 75% of corn crops are in good and excellent condition (83% a week earlier and 90% a year earlier).
- The Government of Serbia has lifted the ban on the export of wheat and vegetable oils. At the beginning of July, it was decided that the authorities would buy 131,000 tons of wheat from the new crop to replenish the state reserve.
- The Buenos Aires Grain Exchange has once again lowered its forecast for the wheat areas in Argentina for 2022/23 to 6.1 million hectares (6.2 from the previous estimate and 6.6 in May). In 2021/22, the areas were 6.7 million hectares and 22.4 million tons of wheat were harvested.
