- The first ship with 100,000 tons of Russian wheat from the 2022 crop was loaded from the Russian port of Novorossiysk.
- In July, 1.225 million tons of cereals were exported from Ukraine, including 264,000 tons of wheat (646,000 in July 2021), 106,000 tons of barley (712,000) and 849,000 tons of corn (938,000). The total export of flour reached 3,300 tons (10,700), including wheat flour exports of 2,700 tons (10,600).
- The Ukrainian Black Sea ports of Odesa, Chernomorsk and Yuzhniy have resumed work for the export of grain. The coordination center in Turkey announced that by the end of the year, 40-50 million tons of Russian and Ukrainian grain could be exported from the Black Sea region, including 20-25 million tons from Ukraine and 25-30 million tons from Russia.
- International shipping carriers and insurers do not yet undertake specific commitments to service Ukrainian exports. All are awaiting specific details on export procedures.
- Agritel has raised its forecast for France's 2022/23 wheat production to 33.44 million tons from 33.25 million tons in last week's estimate.
- MARS has lowered its forecast for the yield of soft wheat in the EU in 2022 to 5.74 tons/hectare (5.76 in the previous estimate and -1.6% compared to the five-year average level). Durum yield will be 3.40 tons/hectare (3.44 and -3.4%), spring barley yield is estimated at 4.10 tons/hectare (4.19 and -0.7%), winter barley yield is projected at 5.72 tons/hectare (5.73 and -0.5%) and corn yield is expected at 7.25 tons/hectare (7.87 and -7.8%). Sunseed yield will be 2.18 tons/hectare (-8% and -6.7%) and rapeseed yield is expected to reach 3.13 tons/hectare (+0.3% and +1.9%).
- China's summer grain production will reach 147.39 million tons (+1,434 more than 2021). The wheat production will be 135.76 million tons (+1%).
- Over the period of 21.02 – 30.06.2022, supplies of unrefined sunseed oil in India were 540,000 tons (-23% compared to the previous year). In 2021/22 (04/01/2021 – 03/31/2022), supplies of unrefined sunseed oil were 2.175 million tons.
- Pakistan has purchased 300,000 tons of wheat at USD 404.86/ton C&F and delivery within August 1 – 25.
- Jordan has bought 60,000 tons of milling wheat at USD 405.75/ton C&F and delivery in December.
