- During the week starting on 03.08.2022, the export tax on Russian wheat will be 4,626.8 rubles/ton (4,951.7 a week earlier). The export tax on barley will be 2,945.4 rubles/ton (3,002.6) and the export tax on corn will be 3,311.4 rubles/ton (2,923.4).
- In July, 3 million tons of cereals and oil crops were exported from Ukraine (2.2 in June).
- According to European Commission data, 1.77 million tons of wheat were exported from the EU in July (1.57 in 2021 and 1.47 in 2020). The largest customers were Morocco with 430,700 tons (27,200), Algeria with 226,200 tons (88,300), Pakistan with 159,700 tons (53,900), Jordan with 142,300 tons (58,300) and Nigeria with 123,300 tons. The largest exporters were Romania with 474,900 tons, France with 453,600 tons, Poland with 354,600 tons and Bulgaria with 288,000 tons.
- StoneX predicts that in 2022/23 the soybean production in Brazil will reach a record 152.6 million tons (+20% compared to 2021/22). Domestic consumption will be 52 million tons (+6%), soybean exports are expected at 100 million tons (+30%), and ending soybean stocks are estimated at 6.5 million tons (+19%). The corn production is expected to reach 125.5 million tons (+3%), domestic consumption will be 80 million tons (+5%), and ending corn stocks are expected at 45 million tons (+7%).
- According to an estimate of market operators, soyoil imports in India reached a record 493,000 tons in July (+113% compared to June). During the season, deliveries are projected to reach a record 4.5 million tons (2.87).
- According to market operators, Algeria bought 660,000 tons of wheat of any origin at a price of 384 USD/ton C&F. At the previous tender, 700,000 tons of wheat were purchased.
- According to Oil World data, Turkey's sunseed oil imports reached 77,000 tons in June (108,000 in May and 52,000 in June 2021). 52,000 tons of oil were delivered from Russia (45,000 in June 2021) and 33,000 tons (5,000) from Ukraine. YTD supplies of sunseed oil reach 830,000 tons (593,000). In June, sunseed imports were 151,000 tons (37,000), which is the highest level for the last 2 years, including 128,000 tons from Ukraine. Year-to-date deliveries are 449,000 tons (819,000).
