During the period from July 1 to July 23, 1.385 million tons of grain were exported from the Russian port of Novorossiysk (0.54 in July 2022 and 0.45 in July 2021), including 1.143 million tons of wheat (0.52 and 0.35), and 0.213 million tons of barley (0 and 0.083).
In their July report, the International Grains Council (IGC) forecasts the wheat production for 2023/24 in Russia to be 83.6 million tons (unchanged from June), with exports reaching 45.2 million tons (44.7). The total grain production in the country will be 125.5 million tons with exports of 55.2 million tons (54.6).
