According to the government's forecast from Russia for 2023/24, the country's grain exports are projected to be 65 million tons (60 in the previous estimate). The grain production has been confirmed at 140 million tons, including 93 million tons of wheat. The oilseed production is estimated to be 27 million tons.

The soybean production is expected to be 3 million tons (+0.1 and +0.5), while the sunseed production is projected to reach 10.1 million tons (no change and +0.8).

According to data from FranceAgrimer as of October 23, 2023, corn harvesting in France has been completed on 85% of the total areas (+11% for the week, 96% in 2022/23, and 74% on average for the last five years). The sowing of soft wheat for the 2024/25 crop has been carried on 54% of the planned areas (+16% for the week, 61% and 53%), while hard wheat sowing has been completed on 4% of the planned areas (6% last year and 5% on average for the last 5 years), and winter barley was completed at 69% (+18%, 78%, and 69%).
