According to ABS data for the 2022/23 season, Australia's exports of soft wheat and durum totaled 31.67 million tons.

According to FranceAgriMer data as of October 30, 2023, the harvesting campaign of corn in France has been completed on 90% of the areas (+5% for the week and 99% compared to the previous year). The planting of winter wheat for the 2024 crop continues, with 62% of the planned areas already planted (+7% for the week and 81% compared to the previous year). The sowing campaign of durum wheat has been completed at 10% of the planned areas (+5% and 21%), and winter barley at 76% (+7% and 91%).

According to CIARA-CEC data, in September, the industrial processing of soybeans in Argentina reached 1.9 million tons, and for the period January to September, it was 21.4 million tons, the lowest level in the last 12 years and 8.2 million tons less than the previous year. The capacity utilization was 32% (35% in August). Sunseed processing in September was 345,000 tons, and from the beginning of the year, it was 3.2 million tons, the highest level in the last 10 years.

The largest customer was China with imports of 7.59 million tons of wheat and durum, followed by Vietnam with 478,000 tons, Taiwan with 301,400 tons, Indonesia with 4.88 million tons, and the Philippines with 2.96 million tons.

In 2023, Iran's grain production reached 20.6 million tons (+2% compared to 2022), including 13.5 million tons of wheat. The grain reserves at the beginning of the season were 21.1 million tons. China has the largest grain reserves in the world with 399 million tons.

Algeria has announced a tender for the purchase of at least 50,000 tons of wheat with an unspecified origin and delivery scheduled for December to January.
