Today, June 28, 2021, the Egyptian state-owned company GASC purchased 180,000 tons of Romanian wheat with delivery within August 25 - September 5, 2021. No deals were concluded at the previous tender due to high freight. All purchases were made on equal terms as follows:

- 180,000 tons of Romanian wheat at a FOB price of 242.93 USD/ton + freight cost of 27.85 USD/ton adding up to a total of 270.78 USD/ton C&F.

The proposals were as follows:

- One offer from France at a price of FOB 256.74 USD/ton.

- Eight offers from Romania at prices within FOB 242.93 - 249.85 USD/ton.

- Six offers from Russia at prices within FOB 249.75 - 255 USD/ton.

- Five offers from Ukraine at prices within FOB 248 - 248.80 USD/ton.
