According to information from the market, the delivery of several batches of French wheat purchased by China has been postponed from December 2023 to March 2024.

The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia has proposed a ban on the export of rice from Russia during the period from January 1 to June 30, 2024. A similar restriction was in place during the periods from July 1 to December 31, 2022, and January 1 to June 30, 2023.

As of November 27, 2023, the areas planted with winter crops in Ukraine have reached 4.798 million hectares, which is 93.6% of the planned areas. This includes 4.162 million hectares of wheat (95.6%) and 558,800 hectares of barley (80.7%). In the last week, 193,200 hectares were sown with various crops. The areas planted with winter rapeseed cover 1.164 million hectares (an increase of 12,800 hectares in the last week and 96.1% of the planned areas).

According to USDA data, 50% of winter wheat crops in the United States are in good or excellent condition (an increase of 2% compared to last week and 16% compared to last year). Corn harvesting has been completed on 96% of the areas (99% last year).

According to market information, the delivery of several batches of French wheat purchased by China has been postponed from December 2023 to March 2024. In recent months, China has bought 2 to 2.5 million tons of wheat from France. The change in delivery is linked to a cheaper offer from Australia and the United States, which immediately led to a decline in quotations yesterday on the stock exchange in Paris.

Iran has purchased 50,000 tons of corn from Russia at a price of 317 USD/ton C&F with delivery scheduled within December to February.

Bangladesh has announced a tender to purchase 50,000 tons of milling wheat of any origin.
