- Over the period of 1.07.2020 - 17.06.2021, 36.2 million tons of wheat were exported from Russia, which is 7.1% more than the previous year. Exports of barley are projected at 6.1 million tons (+38.4%) and corn exports are expected to reach 4 million tons (+3%).
- In June, about 2.5 million tons of wheat were exported from Russia. The current record for exports for this month of the year was set back in 2018 - 2.69 million tons.
- In the southern parts of Brazil, temperatures are expected to decrease and this could lead to frost on crops. Only 1% of corn crops have been harvested in Paraná. Under these circumstances, Deral lowered its forecast for the corn production in Paraná from 9.8 million tons to 4.9 million tons.
- Argentine farmers have sold 23 million tons of soybeans from the 2020/21 crop and sales reached 518,800 tons last week. In 2020/21, soybean production reached 43.5 million tons compared to 49 million tons in 2019/20.
- According to Oil World's forecast, Iran limited imports of sunseed oil to 246,000 tons in the second quarter of 2021 compared to 283,000 tons in the first quarter and 146,000 tons a year earlier. Soyoil imports in the second quarter reached 136,000 tons (186,000 and 30,000) and soymeal imports totaled 522,000 tons (-44,000 tons compared to the first quarter). Over the period of October - June, imports of soymeal reached 1.65 million tons (+62%), soyoil imports were 366,000 tons (+800%) and imports of sunseed oil reached 627,000 tons (+81%).
- The authorities in India have reduced the import tax on crude palm oil from 35.75% to 30.25%. This was followed by a reduction in the export tax on the Indonesian palm oil. In the next two months, India is expected to import larger volumes of palm oil.
- Tunisia has purchased 100,000 tons of soft wheat at a price of 277.94 - 283.48 USD/ton C&F and 100,000 tons of barley at a price of 269.98 - 271.48 USD/ton C&F with deliveries within July - August.
