Strategie Grains again lowered its forecast for the EU wheat production in 2021/22 by 2.4 million tons to 129.1 million tons.

- Strategie Grains again lowered its forecast for the EU wheat production in 2021/22 by 2.4 million tons to 129.1 million tons. Wheat with a specific weight under the required reaches 40% of the total amount compared to 27% a year earlier. The corn production estimate was reduced by 1.4 million tons to 64.9 million tons (63.4 in 2020/21).

- FranceAgriMer has raised its forecast for soft wheat exports from France to EU countries in 2021/22 to 8 million tons (7.3) and 9.6 million tons outside the EU (10.5).

- Yesterday, commodity funds in Chicago were net buyers of 12,000 contracts of corn, 7,000 contracts of soybeans and 5,000 contracts of wheat.

- Over the period of January - August, imports of soyoil in Brazil reached 86,130 tons compared to 22,120 tons a year earlier. The indicator is the maximum for the last 20 years - 110,530 tons in 1999.

- China has lowered the requirements for imports of French wheat - the  specific weight is now lowered to 75 kg/hl meter (77 kg/hl before).

- In August, imports of vegetable oils in India reached 1.016 million tons (+11% compared to July). Palm oil imports were 750,100 tons (465,600), soyoil were 182,400 tons (379,900) and imports of sunseed oil reached 71,300 tons (71,800). Over the period of November-August, palm oil imports totaled 6.3 million tons, soyoil imports reached 2.4 million tons and sunseed oil reached 1.6 million tons.
