According to data from the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange, last week's rainfall in Argentina has accelerated the sowing campaign of the new 2021/22 corn crop.

- Yesterday, commodity funds in Chicago were net sellers of 5,000 corn contracts, 15,500 soybean contracts and 4,500 wheat contracts.

As of November 4, 2021, 2.02 million hectares or 28.4% of the total 7.1 million hectares have been sown. 82% of the areas are in good and excellent condition (72% a week earlier). The corn production is projected to reach 55 million tons. 682,000 hectares were harvested with wheat or 742,900 tons at an average yield of 1.09 tons/hectare. The wheat production is expected to reach 19.8 million tons. The sowing campaign of sunseed was carried out on 78% of the planned areas and the sowing campaign of soybean was carried out on 7.1% of planned areas (44 million tons are expected to be harvested).

- 252,700 tons of sorghum were exported from Australia in September (132,100 in August), including 179,800 tons for China. Exports of feed barley reached 514,800 tons (585,400) and malting barley exports were 32,700 tons (68,300). Fodder barley was exported to Saudi Arabia (131,500 tons), Kuwait (90,600 tons) and the UAE (57,500 tons). Over the period of July - September 2021/22, 600,600 tons of sorghum, 1,687 million tons of feed barley and 144,400 tons of malting barley were exported from Australia.

- According to Oil World, 105,000 tons of canola were exported from Australia in September (92,000 in August and 12,000 in September 2020). 91,000 tons of canola were exported to Japan and 6,000 to Nepal. In 2020/21, exports reached 3.41 million tons (1.55), including 2.45 million tons for the EU and 93,000 tons for China (463,000).

- According to traders, stocks of palm oil in Malaysia increased by 3.4% to 1.81 million tons at the end of October. During the month, exports decreased by 11% to 1.41 million tons, due to high prices. Palm oil production reached 1.69 million tons (-0.98%) in October, which is the lowest level for the last three months.

- The state company of Egypt GASC has purchased 15,000 tons of sunseed oil with delivery within 25.12.2021 - 15.01.2022 and at a price of 1,440 USD/ton C&F.
