- According to the Statistical Office of Ukraine, the rapeseed production in the country was 2.95 million tons in 2021 and the average yield reached 2.95 tons/hectare. There is a change in the export statistics for the season - the share of exported rapeseed in the total product mix (raw and processed) decreased from 90% in the previous season to 88% now. As of November 15, 2021, the areas sown with winter rapeseed reached 1,023 million hectares (867,900 a year earlier).
- As of November 1, 2021, the sunseed stocks in Ukraine were 8.761 million tons (+1.519 compared to 2020). Stocks of soybeans reached 1.76 million tons (+0.37) and rapeseed stocks were 0.207 million tons (-0.200).
- According to USDA data, as of 28.11.2021, 6% of wheat crops are in excellent condition in the United States (6% a year earlier), 38% are in good condition (40%), 33% are in fair condition (36%) and 15% are in poor condition (13%).
- Yesterday, commodity funds in Chicago were net sellers of 30,000 contracts of corn, 20,000 contracts of soybeans and 22,500 contracts of wheat.
- According to Oil World, the Brazilian government has approved a biodiesel blend rate of 10% (B10) for the whole of 2022. The plans were for the 13% rate, which applied until September 2021, to be raised to 14% from February 2022. The change is due to high inflation in the country. The change will lower the expectations for the produced quantities of biodiesel for 2022 by 0.3 - 0.4 million tons to 5.83 million tons.
- According to Anec, soybean exports from Brazilian ports reached 2.28 million tons in November (2.98 million tons in October and 770,000 tons in November 2020). Corn exports were 2.89 million tons (+54% and 4.94). From the beginning of 2021, total exports reached 84.24 million tons (+2.5% compared to a year earlier) and a total of 17.45 million tons of corn have been exported (-41%).
- In 2021/22, the rapeseed production in India will increase to over 10 million tons (8.6 in the previous season). The price of rapeseed reached a record 1,178 USD/ton in October, which helped increase the area sown.
- Tunisia has announced a tender for the purchase of 25,000 tons of feed barley with delivery within January - February 2022. At least another 25,000 tons of wheat with delivery in January 2022 are likely to be purchased.
