Abimaq estimates that in 2022/23 Brazil's storage deficit will reach 117 million tons of capacity.

- During the current winter in Russia, 6% of various crops may have died from the cold, according to a forecast by Rusagrotrans.

- From the beginning of the season to 15.02.2023, 29,678 million tons of grain were exported from Ukraine (41,958 a year earlier), including 2,707 million tons since the beginning of February (3,488). 10,548 million tons of wheat (813,000), 1,958 million tons of barley (141,000) and 17,060 million tons of corn (1,745) were exported.

- Chicago commodity funds were net sellers of 2,000 contracts of corn, 4,000 contracts of soybeans and 3,000 contracts of wheat yesterday.

- The government of Mexico has canceled its plans to introduce a ban on the import of GM corn.

- According to Abimaq's estimate, the storage deficit in Brazil will reach 117 million tons of capacity in 2022/23. The calculation was made for a total production of 300 million tons. An annual investment of 3.9 billion USD is needed to prevent this level of deficit from rising.

- In 2022/23, India's wheat production will reach a record 112.2 million tons, according to a government forecast. The harvesting campaign begins in March.

- According to SEA data, palm oil imports into India reached 833,600 tons in January (-25% compared to December), including soyoil imports of 366,600 tons, sunseed oil imports of 461,400 tons - a record indicator. In total, the import of oils was 1.66 million tons during the month (+6%), and over the period of November - January it totalled a record 4.7 million tons (+30%).

- Jordan has announced a tender for the purchase of 120,000 tons of milling wheat of any origin and delivery within June-July. A tender was also announced for the purchase of 120,000 tons of fodder barley with delivery within June-July.
