- From the beginning of the season to 01.03.2023, 32,286 million tons of grain were exported from Ukraine (43,515 a year earlier), including 5,207 million tons in February (5,045). Wheat exports reached 11.338 million tons (18.092), barley exports were 2.05 million tons (5.636) and corn exports were 18.604 million tons (19.331).
- Over the period of September - January, the export of sunseed oil from Ukraine reached 2.28 million tons (-14% compared to the previous year).
- As of 02/27/2023, 19% of wheat crops are in good to excellent condition in Kansas (21% a month earlier and 26% a year earlier), 29% in Colorado (38% and 21%), 19% in Nebraska (22% and 36%), 36% in Oklahoma (17% and 9%), 82% in Illinois (69% and 59%), 21% in Montana (16% and 21%), 46% in North Dakota (41% and 18%) and 23% in South Dakota (22% and 24%).
- Chicago commodity funds were net sellers of 13,500 contracts of corn, 19,000 contracts of soybeans and 3,000 contracts of wheat yesterday.
- According to data from Societe Generale de Surveillance, palm oil exports from Malaysia reached 1.13 million tons in February (-1.7% compared to January). In February, the EU shipped 260,400 tons of oil, China shipped 86,600 tons, the US shipped 34,300 tons and India shipped 216,500 tons.
- The Government of India has canceled the duty-free import quota of 2 million tons of sunseed oil in the new financial year starting on 04/01/2023. In May 2022, a decision was made for duty-free import of 2 million tons of sunseed oil.
- Taiwan has purchased 48,980 tons of milling wheat with 8.5 – 14.5% protein and at prices of 306.26 – 367.76 USD/ton FOB with delivery within 19.04 – 03.05.2023.
- Turkey has canceled a tender to buy 48,000 tons of unrefined sunseed oil due to high prices. Offers were in the range of 1,159 – 1,173.8 USD/ton C&F.
