According to government data for the week of September 18 - 24, Brazil exported 2.4 million tons of corn, which is 4% more than the previous week, and 1.3 million tons of soybeans (-7%).

In 2022/23 (September 1, 2022 - August 31, 2023), Russia exported a record 3.85 million tons of sunseedoil (+26% compared to 2021/22).

Yesterday, Chicago commodity funds were net buyers of 4,000 contracts of wheat, 2,500 contracts of corn, and 2,000 contracts of soybeans.

Since the beginning of the current marketing year, corn exports have reached 23.5 million tons (+19%), and soybean exports have reached 85.6 million tons (+26%).

According to data from Patria Agronegocios as of September 22, 2023, 2% of the planned areas for soybeans for the 2023/24 crop in Brazil have been planted (+1.6% for the week). Due to good moisture in Paraná, planting has been completed on 1% of the planned areas, but in the central region, only 2% due to drought - Mato Grosso.

Bangladesh has announced a tender to purchase 50,000 tons of milling wheat of unspecified origin.

According to USDA data as of September 24, 2023, in the United States, 15% of the corn areas of the 2023/24 crop have been harvested (compared to 11% last year and an average of 13% for the last five years), as well as 12% of the soybean areas (compared to 7% and 11%). Winter wheat has been planted on 26% of the planned areas (compared to 30% and 29%).

Tunisia held a tender to purchase 100,000 tons of milling wheat of unspecified origin and 50,000 tons of feed barley of unspecified origin. Delivery will be made in the period of October to November. Bids for wheat range from 274.69 to 289.68 USD/ton C&F, and for barley, they range from 219.69 to 251.85 USD/ton C&F.
