In 2024, Russia's sunseed production is projected to reach 15.8 million tons (compared to 17.25 million in 2023). Soybean production will reach 7.2 million tons (6.824 million), and rapeseed production is forecasted at 4.3 million tons (4.203 million).

- Last week, 437,800 tons of grain were exported from the Russian port of Novorossiysk (196,700 tons the previous week). Of this, 436,400 tons were wheat, with 120,600 tons going to Algeria, 115,100 tons to Egypt, 68,200 tons to Saudi Arabia, 44,000 tons to Turkey, and 31,600 tons to Brazil.

- For the week of June 13-18, the export tax on Russian wheat will be 2,845.3 rubles per ton (2,778.1 rubles the previous week), while barley and corn will continue to have zero duty.

- According to Safras & Mercado, the soybean production in Brazil for 2023/24 is expected to reach 149.71 million tons (151.25 million in the previous estimate and down 5.1% compared to 2022/23). The yield will be 3.55 tons per hectare (3.27 tons).

- By the end of May, palm oil stocks in Malaysia increased to 1.75 million tons, the highest level in the past three months (+0.5% compared to April). Production in May reached 1.7 million tons (+13.5%), the highest level in the past six months, and exports were 1.38 million tons (+11.7% compared to April). If exports in the coming months do not exceed 1.5 million tons, we will see a decline in prices.

- According to the FAO, the global grain production (including rice) for 2024/25 will reach 2,846 million tons, slightly below the 2023/24 production. The wheat production is expected at 786.7 million tons (787.7 million for 2023/24). Global grain consumption is estimated at 2,851 million tons (+1.1%).
