- As of November 1, 2024, the stocks of oilseeds in Russian agricultural organizations amounted to 7.9 million tons (at last year's level), including 3.2 million tons of sunseed (-15% compared to early November 2023). Grain stocks totaled 35.6 million tons (-16.2%), including 21.81 million tons of wheat (-20.41%) and 4.3 million tons of corn (-21%).
- During the past week, 415,600 tons of wheat were exported from the Russian port of Novorossiysk (531,800 tons the week prior), including 66,000 tons to Saudi Arabia, 65,700 tons to Indonesia, and 64,600 tons to Morocco.
- Between November 1-18, Ukraine exported 16.431 million tons of grain (compared to 12.033 million tons as of November 22, 2023), including 2.032 million tons in November (2.793 million tons in November 2023). The exports comprised 8.351 million tons of wheat (0.61 million), 1.74 million tons of barley (0.041 million), and 6.048 million tons of corn (1.367 million). Notably, this is the first time this season that monthly exports have fallen below the previous year's level.
- The premium for high-oleic sunseed in Ukraine has risen to 96 USD/ton. The DAP Ukraine price for sunseed with 46% oil content is 570–585 USD/ton, the price for DAP Bulgaria with 44% oil content is 630–640 USD/ton, and C&F Bulgaria with 44% oil content is 620–630 USD/ton.
- According to European Commission data, soybean imports into the EU between July and October reached 4 million tons, 70,000 tons higher than the previous year and the highest level since 2021. Brazil was the main supplier with 2.333 million tons (1.7 million a year earlier). Imports from the United States totaled 1.247 million tons, Canada 90,000 tons (105,000), and Ukraine 318,000 tons (243,000).
- According to USDA data, sunseed production in the United States in 2024/25 will reach 589,000 tons, the lowest level since 1976/77.
- Anec forecasts that Brazil's soymeal exports in 2024 will reach a record level due to expected high exports in December. In November, Brazil exported 1.86 million tons of soymeal (2.46 million in October, 1.94 million in November 2023). Between January and November, exports totaled 21.12 million tons (22.35 million a year earlier). December exports are expected to reach 1.23 million tons, setting a new annual record.
- In November, China’s corn imports will not exceed 250,000 tons (-60,000 compared to October). In August, imports were 430,000 tons (-64%), and in September, 310,000 tons—the lowest level since March 2020. The slowdown is primarily due to government recommendations for importers to limit shipments.
