Between July 1, 2024, and January 8, 2025, Ukraine exported 22.442 million tons of grain (compared to 19.422 million tons in the same period the previous year), including 0.705 million tons in January (1.03).

In 2024, grain exports from Russia reached 71.3 million tons, including 57.2 million tons of wheat, 7.4 million tons of barley, and 6 million tons of corn. According to preliminary data from Rosstat, Russia's grain harvest in 2024 amounted to 124.96 million tons (144.9 in 2023), including 82.4 million tons of wheat (92.85), 16.7 million tons of barley (21.1), and 13.2 million tons of corn (16.6).

This includes 9.977 million tons of wheat (0.209 in January), 1.976 million tons of barley (8,000 tons), and 10.162 million tons of corn (0.487).

The Buenos Aires Grain Exchange has raised its forecast for Argentina's corn acreage in 2024/25 from 6.3 million hectares to 6.6 million hectares. Soybean acreage is projected at 18.4 million hectares (down from 18.6). By early January, corn had been planted on 81% of the planned area, while soybeans covered 85%. Wheat has been harvested on 89% of the planted areas, with a total yield expected at 18.6 million tons.

Jordan held a tender to purchase 120,000 tons of milling wheat of unspecified origin. Of this, 60,000 tons were purchased at a price of 268.9 USD/ton C&F, with delivery scheduled for March 1–15. Other bids ranged between 272.77 and 283 USD/ton. On January 8, 2025, another tender was held to purchase 120,000 tons of feed barley of unspecified origin with delivery between March and April.
