SovEcon forecasts wheat exports from Russia in January at 2.1 million tons (3.4 million in December and 4.1 million in November). Barley exports are expected to be 100,000 tons (150,000 in December), and corn exports are projected at 200,000 tons (250,000). The total wheat export forecast for the 2024/25 season is 43.7 million tons. Rusagrotrans forecasts wheat exports in January at 2.4 million tons and in February at 2.5 million tons (compared to 4.4 million in February 2023).

According to a forecast from the Russian Grain Union, total grain exports from Russia in 2024/25 will reach 47-48 million tons, including 41 million tons of wheat. It is noted that in 2025, Russia's grain production will be below the 2024 level—estimated at 125 million tons. The report highlights that this season, Russian-grown seed varieties are being widely used due to the lack of imports. However, these seeds could lead to a 20-30% decline in yield.

Dozens of oilseed processing plants in Ukraine have shut down or reduced sunflower seed processing volumes. Last year, 1.5 million tons of sunflower seeds were processed monthly, with 600,000 tons of oil exported. Currently, processing is down to 800,000 tons, with oil exports at 280,000 tons. As of January 1, 2025, Ukraine's sunflower seed stocks were 7.4 million tons, and by February 1, 2025, they are expected to be between 6 and 6.6 million tons.

FranceAgriMer has left its forecast for French wheat exports outside the EU unchanged at 3.5 million tons (-66% compared to the previous year), marking the lowest level since 2000.

The European Commission has stated that as of June 5, 2025, trade conditions with Ukraine will be changed. The duty-free import of agricultural products, introduced in 2022, will be revoked.

Between January 1 and January 25, Malaysia exported 837,380 tons of palm oil, the lowest level in the past two years.

Jordan has purchased 60,000 tons of milling wheat at a price of 265.25 USD/ton C&F, with delivery in June. The tender was initially organized for the purchase of 120,000 tons of wheat.

Tunisia has announced a tender for the purchase of 100,000 tons of soft wheat and 100,000 tons of durum wheat from any origin, with delivery scheduled between March 1 and April 5, 2025.
