- According to the latest forecast of SovEkon, wheat exports from Russia will reach 38.4 million tons in 2021/22 (+1.8 million tons compared to the previous estimate). Wheat production is projected at 84.6 million tons (+2.1). For 2020/21, wheat exports estimate was reduced by 0.2 million tons to 37.5 million tons.
- During the week of 28.06 - 04.07.2021, 169,075 tons of Russian wheat were exported from the Russian port of Novorossiysk (-42.8% compared to the previous week and +280% compared to the previous year). The decline in exports occurred after an increase in export taxes to 41.3 USD/ton (38.1).
- The Ministry of Agriculture of Ukraine and the country's exporters have already signed a memorandum on the country's exports in 2021/22. The ministry expects grain exports in 2021/22 to be 56 million tons.
- On Friday, commodity funds in Chicago were net sellers of 10,500 contracts of corn and 4,500 contracts of wheat and net buyers of 17,500 contracts of soybeans.
- The USDA attaché in Brazil has raised its forecast for soybean areas in the country by 0.3 million hectares to 40.3 million hectares in the 2021/22 season, which is 1.5 million hectares more than in 2020/21. The soybean production is expected to reach 143.5 million tons compared to 136.9 million tons for 2020/21 and the average soybean yield is estimated at 3.56 tons/hectare (3.52). Exports are projected at 94 million tons (84) and domestic soybean consumption is predicted at 47.7 million tons (46.5). Soymeal production will be 36.47 million tons (35.55) and soyoil production is expected at 9.66 million tons (9.41).
- 39 vessels are lined up to load corn at Brazilian ports this month, down from 85 in the same period a year ago, according to the logistics agency Cargonave, i.e. 2.5 million tons now and 5 million tons a year earlier. According to the latest forecast of AgriBrasil, the corn production in the country will be 87 million tons in 2021/22 (100 million tons in 2020/21) and corn exports are expected to reach 20 million tons (33). Corn consumers in the country now offer higher purchase prices than exporters.
- According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, 2.66 million tons of wheat were exported from Australia in May, which is 11% more than in April - 2.4 million tons. Wheat exports are expected to exceed 2 million tons in June.
- In June, palm oil stocks in Malaysia increased by 7.5% to 1.69 million tons. Palm oil production also increased by 7% to 1.68 million tons and exports rose by 10% to 1.39 million tons. Exports are expected to continue to increase in July due to changes in Indian import taxes.
