According to the APC-Inform forecast, in the first 4 months of 2022/23, the export of barley from Ukraine reached 1.1 million tons (4.6 in 2021/22). The biggest buyers were Romania with 393,100 tons, Spain with 236,800 tons and Turkey with 168,700 tons.

Barley production in 2022/23 is 5.5 million tons (-42%), which allows export under the most optimal conditions of 2 million tons (-58%).

- As of 28.11.2022, 3.8 million hectares (94% of the plan) were sown with wheat in Ukraine and 613,000 hectares (91%) were sown with barley.

- Yesterday, Chicago commodity funds were net sellers of 9,500 wheat contracts and net buyers of 8,500 soybean contracts and neutral on corn.

- According to the FAS USDA forecast, the corn production in Brazil will reach a record 126 million tons in 2022/23 (+9% compared to 2021/22). Exports will be 47 million tons (+3%). The wheat production is projected to reach a record 9.4 million tons (+21%), and wheat exports are estimated at 3.1 million tons (0.9 in 2020/21). Wheat imports are expected at 6.4 million tons (6.4).

- On 30.11.2022, Algeria will hold a tender for the purchase of at least 50,000 tons of soft wheat with delivery in January.
