- According to a forecast of the United Grain Company of Russia, grain exports from the country are projected to reach 53-54 million tons in 2022/23. If there were no sanctions imposed on the country, exports could reach 60 million tons.
- In October, exports of soft wheat from Kazakhstan reached 796,000 tons, which is a historical record (+180% compared to September and +145% compared to October 2021). Durum wheat exports were 11,000 tons (4,100 and 13,100).
- In 2022, the rapeseed production in Belarus reached a record 927,000 tons of bunker weight.
- Yesterday, Chicago commodity funds were net sellers of 3,500 contracts of corn and net buyers of 4,500 contracts of soybeans and 5,500 contracts of wheat.
- Grain deliveries to the Brazilian port of Paranagua are blocked due to heavy rains. About 80% of deliveries are made by road transport and 20% by rail.
- According to CNGOIC data, in the week of November 23-29, soybean processing in China was 1.98 million tons (+0.45 over the previous week's result). Current soybean stocks in China are estimated at 3.5 million tons (+60,000 from the previous week and +1 million tons from the previous year). Soymeal stocks are 220,000 tons (+40,000 and -290,000) and soyoil stocks reach 660,000 tons ( -10,000 and -150,000).
- According to data from Oil World, 812,000 tons of palm oil were exported from Thailand over the period of January-October (546,000 in 2021). The largest recipients were India with 689,000 tons (472,000) and Myanmar with 77,000 tons (28,000).
- In Egypt, many private mills have stopped working due to a wheat supply crisis. 600,000 – 650,000 tons of wheat are blocked in the country's ports and only small quantities are released to the millers. The problem is the lack of funds to pay for the supplies. The crisis started 6 months earlier when the price of non-subsidized bread rose. The government hopes to solve the problem with a loan from the IMF.
- At the newly opened grain exchange in Egypt, demand exceeded supply twice. 10,000 tons of Russian wheat were offered for sale by the state, which were realized at a price of 398 USD/ton. 21,000 tons of wheat were wanted.
- Algeria bought 450,000 tons of wheat of any origin at an average price of 355.50 USD/ton C&F and delivery within December – January.
- On Wednesday, Pakistan bought over 900,000 tons of milling wheat with delivery within December – February and at a price of 372 – 397.80 USD/ton C&F.
