Egypt's state-owned company GASC has purchased 480,000 tons of wheat from Russia at a price of 265 USD/ton FOB.

In September, Russia exported 218,700 tons of sunseed oil, with major clients being China (58,600 tons), Turkey (56,600 tons), India (38,000 tons), and Egypt (35,300 tons).

From July 1st to October 11, 2023, Ukraine exported a total of 7.42 million tons of grain crops, including 667,000 tons in October. This includes 3.762 million tons of wheat, 640,000 tons of barley, and 2.902 million tons of corn.

According to USDA data, in the USA, 34% of corn areas have been harvested (compared to 29% the previous year), and 43% of soybean areas have been harvested (compared to 41% the previous year). Winter wheat has been planted on 57% of the planned areas.

StoneX forecasts a corn production of 388.2 million tons for the 2023/24 season in the United States (an increase of 4.6% from the previous estimate and 39.8% from 2022/23). The soybean production is expected to be 113.6 million tons (an increase of 0.8% from the previous estimate and 116.2% from the previous year).

In September, Brazil exported a record 5.1 million tons of soybeans to China, totaling 6.4 million tons of soybean exports (an increase of 1.5 million tons for the month). The total soybean exports for the first nine months of the year reached 87.3 million tons, including 61.7 million tons to China.

According to the IBGE forecast, the total production for all grains and oilseeds in Brazil in 2023 will be 318.1 million tons (compared to 263.2 million tons in 2022).

In September, Brazil purchased a record 246,000 tons of wheat from Russia. The following suppliers included Argentina (99,000 tons), Uruguay (30,000 tons), Canada (21,000 tons), Paraguay (11,000 tons), and Lebanon (2,000 tons). During the first nine months of the year, Egypt purchased 8.34 million tons of wheat, with 80% of it coming from Russia.

According to the Rosario Grain Exchange forecast, oilseed processing in Argentina in 2023 is expected to reach 30.5 million tons (a 27% decrease from 2022). Soybean processing is expected to be 27.1 million tons (a 24% decrease), and sunseed processing is expected to be 3.4 million tons (a 3% increase).

In August, Australia's barley exports reached 350,500 tons (compared to 364,900 tons in July). It is expected that September's exports will reach 500,000 tons, and October's exports will reach 700,000 tons.

South Korean NOFI has purchased 136,000 tons of corn, including 68,000 tons from the EU and 68,000 tons from South America and/or South Africa, at a price of 254.15 USD/ton C&F with delivery in February.

Bangladesh has received several offers for the sale of wheat at prices ranging from 298.19 to 320 USD/ton C&F.
