The processing industry can handle twice the amount of sunseed produced domestically. Supplies from Romania and Moldova are limited. The goal is to meet the needs of local factories with raw materials, which are also experiencing a shortage.

The rapeseed production estimate remains unchanged at 18.8 million tons (19.6 million).
In 2023/24, Pakistan is expected to export a record 1.5 million tons of corn according to the USDA forecast. The large production and reduced domestic consumption will create conditions for export. In the coming months, exports will lose momentum because the available low-moisture corn has already been exported, and what remains has higher moisture content. The government has banned wheat imports due to sufficient supplies in the country. In recent years, Pakistan has been a major wheat importer.
